Method’s commitment to addressing climate change runs deep. Method co-founder Adam Lowry previously worked at the Carnegie Institution's Department of Global Ecology, studying and publishing work on human impacts on global warming. In 2013, Method reincorporated as a benefit corporation, solidifying our commitment to social and environmental good. At the end of 2013, Method completed construction of a LEED-Platinum manufacturing facility on the south side of Chicago. In 2015, we will begin to generate on-site renewable energy from a 230 ft tall wind turbine and three solar trees. For remaining energy needs in the factory and offices, we purchase renewable energy certificates (RECs).
