| Partner Profile Founded in 1987, MOM's Organic Market is a chain of locally owned and operated organic grocery stores. Offerings include a produce department with 100 percent organic produce, and a selection of organic grocery and wellness products. MOM's currently operates seven stores in the Washington metro area including: Rockville, MD, College Park, MD, Alexandria, VA, Jessup, MD, Frederick, MD, Bowie, MD, and Timonium, MD with several more on the way. MOM's is committed to purchasing green power to cover a significant portion of its electricity needs. The company has also created an internal initiative called Environmental Restoration (E.R.) in its ongoing effort to preserve, protect, and restore natural systems. With E.R., MOM's has committed to the "greening" of its day-to-day operations by developing and implementing environmentally responsible best business practices. Purchasing green power is a major component of this overall mission. "Being an environmentally friendly company not only helps the world to be a better place, it also helps our business' bottom line by increasing employee morale and customer loyalty," said Scott Nash, President of MOM's. | |
