| Partner Profile Santa Cruz Organic (a Smucker Natural Foods, INC, brand) is dedicated to environmental and social responsibility. Our on-site solar energy generation accounts for roughly 30 percent of the energy required to produce Santa Cruz Organic products. We then offset the balance by purchasing third-party certified renewable energy certificates. In addition to participating in EPA's Green Power Partnership, we are certified by the Center for Resource Solutions. Our commitment is not simply about energy usage, it is about minimizing our waste (our recycle rate is above 98 percent) and using as many environmentally responsible, organically farmed inputs as possible. We have taken these steps because they are important to our stakeholders - our trade partners, our consumers, and our employees. We understand that minimizing our impact on the planet is not a destination or a simple set of metrics, it is an aspiration...a journey. | |
