Partner Profile The University of Massachusetts Lowell’s mission is to provide students an affordable, high quality education and to focus some of its scholarship and public service on assisting sustainable regional economic and social development. The University is purchasing 4,000 megawatt-hours of green power, which represents approximately 13 percent of current load and is equivalent to all its residence halls’ electricity use. The purchase of green power is one step in the University’s transformation process to create environmentally preferable facilities.
