Michael-Rock Goldsmith

Title: Research Physical Scientist

EPA Division: Human Exposure and Atmospheric Science Division

EPA Branch: Exposure Dose Research Branch

Dr. Goldsmith develops computer models that quantify the process of how chemicals enter the body and where in the body they may end up. Dr. Goldsmith also creates new ways to animate and visualize this type of “pharmacokinetic” data. More recently his research focus has been in the development of new tools to estimate how much chemical exposure one may get on a daily basis from “where I am, to where I work, to what I do at home, to what products I use”; a sub-domain of exposure science he refers to as personal chemical exposure informatics.
