Thomas R. McCurdy

Title: Research Physical Scientist

EPA Division: Human Exposure and Atmospheric Sciences Division

EPA Branch: Exposure Modeling Research Branch

Narrative:
Thomas’s main research focus is improving the time-series modeling of intake dose rates in multi-media human exposure models. This involves integrating information from time use, human activity, exercise physiology, dietary ingestion, energy expenditure, and transportation planning literatures. In particular, Thomas is interested in accurately describing the intra- and inter-individual variability inherent in these subjects. His work has included developing the original version of the EPA Consolidated Human Activity Database (CHAD), which is a major input to Agency exposure models.
