Dr. McPherson provided an overview of the new iTree tool, which integrates four urban and community forestry tools: UFORE (Urban Forest Effects Model), STRATUM (Street Tree Resource Analysis Tool for Urban Forest Managers), MCTI (Mobile Community Tree Inventory), and the Storm Damage Assessment Protocol. Heat Island Mitigation

Presentation by Dr. Dave Sailor with Portland State University

Dr. Sailor gave an overview of the Mitigation Impact Screening Tool, which provides back of the envelope estimates of temperature, energy, and ground-level ozone impacts from implementing heat island reduction strategies. Dr. Sailor will also provided an overview of his research modeling the building energy impacts from green roofs.
