The Office of Management and International Services (OMIS) is responsible for providing the full range of necessary management and administrative functions that support the Agency’s international programs and coordinates cross-cutting administrative support services, providing expertise in the following areas:
- strategic planning,
- budget formulation and execution;
- human resources and workforce development programs;
- contracts, assistance agreements, and interagency agreements;
- financial management and execution;
- ethics;
- information resources management; and
- administrative operations within OIA.
OMIS manages OIA’s resources to ensure effective use and development of OIA staff, high productivity, cost-efficient operations, and support of the Agency’s environmental goals. OMIS is responsible for the leadership, support, communications and direction necessary to ensure efficient operations and a productive work environment in OIA and provides management advice, services and support to the Assistant Administrator and all organizations within the Office of International Affairs.
The Office of Management and International Services is divided into three program areas:
- Budget and Resources Management Program
- Administrative Management Program
- International Services Program
