Description: Each year EPA publishes a comprehensive report on the quantity, composition, and management practices of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) generated in the United States. The data is based on a model that tracks consumption of materials in the manufacture of consumer goods and products. Data is broken down by material (paper, glass, steel, etc.) and product (newspapers, corrugated cardboard, beverage containers, etc.) and reported in terms of amount generated, recycled, and disposed.
