Basic Information

Key Resources

The mission of EPA’s Sector Strategies Program is to improve environmental protection, energy efficiency, and resource management in major U.S. manufacturing and business sectors by developing and promoting strategies that reduce barriers to progress and drive improvement.

The program’s sector-based approach complements EPA’s traditional focus on individual media (air, water, and waste), providing a holistic view of the full range of each sector’s environmental impacts and challenges within its regulatory and economic frameworks.
