New pilot project to be launched in Mumbai
The US EPA, USAID India, the Indian Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) and the Maharashtra Energy Development Agency (MEDA) have established a partnership to promote energy efficiency in buildings. As part of this program, eeBuildings will launch a pilot project in 2005 in Mumbai. eeBuildings will enlist private building partners in Mumbai and provide technical assistance, tools, and approaches that have proven successful in other developing countries. Private sector partners, case studies and other materials for India will be added soon.
