protégés. Provides case studies of business-to-business relationships.
- EPA's Small Business Gateway
Aimed at small businesses, this site provides links to various organizations
and tools that can help launch a start-up enterprise.
- Manufacturing Extension
Partnership (MEP)
A program of the Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST). The extension centers help smaller manufacturers with business
planning, production techniques, and technology applications.
- New
Uses Council (NUC)
A nonprofit membership organization dedicated to expanding development and commercialization
of new industrial, energy, and non-food consumer uses of renewable agricultural
products. Its Web site provides access to newsletters, directories, and conference
announcements; updated information on investment and development opportunities;
and numerous New Use-related Web sites, list servers, and on-line newsletters.
- The Remanufacturing Institute
A voluntary organization representing remanufacturers as well as the businesses
and organizations that support and serve them.
- Reusable Industrial
Packaging Association
Promotes the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible design, manufacturing,
collection, reconditioning, remanufacturing, and reuse of reusable industrial
packaging, including preparation for recycling at the end of its useful life.
