With EPA funding of this project now concluded, the REDA is now a permanent position in the Delaware Economic Development Office. The project will continue its "Green Industries Initiative" to promote the use of recycled materials and a reduction in waste generation within the manufacturing sector by providing technical and financial assistance to qualifying businesses.
- Delaware ('97 - Expanded Technical Assistance
and Statewide Economic Assessment)
The Delaware Economic Development Office will hire a market development specialist to establish end users of construction and demolition debris and industrial plastics at a brownfield site in Wilmington, hire an information and research specialist to establish and promote an information center, and conduct a statewide economic analysis of recycling to set priorities for economic development officials and state budget requests.
