The 11th Annual Fall Conference will be sponsored by Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, SWANA Keystone Chapter, Pennsylvania Waste Industries Association, and Pennsylvania Host Municipal Inspectors. Global Waste Management Symposium
September 7-10, 2008
Copper Mountain, Colorado
The event combines applied and fundamental research and case studies on waste management. Presentations on industry topics will include measure of landfill gas emissions, solid waste management, planning and policy, and landfill gas production. The Symposium will be held in concert with the Intercontinental Landfill Research Symposium. Rachel Goldstein, of LMOP, will be speaking about the Methane to Markets Partnership and utilizing landfill methane for climate change mitigation in developing countries. Commonwealth of Virginia Energy & Sustainability Conference

The 2008 Commonwealth of Virginia Energy and Sustainability Conference will focus on "Meeting the Climate Challenge." Topics being covered include policy options at the national, state, and local levels to reduce carbon emissions; academic and government sustainability initiatives; investment and economic development opportunities in a low-carbon future; renewable and other low-carbon energy resources; and more. WASTECON 2008

WASTECON 2008 will showcase energy and climate issues through technical sessions, trainings, workshops, and tours. The technical sessions provide the latest information in the solid waste industry, including landfill gas recovery information. 12th LMOP Annual Conference and Project Expo
January 12-14, 2009
Baltimore, Maryland
Building on the success of its past conferences, LMOP is planning another information packed agenda with its annual awards program, presentations highlighting landfill gas energy project successes and policy discussions, and opportunities to network. Exhibitors will also showcase industry innovations that improve the efficiency and security of the LFGE supply. As part of the event, LMOP also hosts a Project Expo, which provides information about landfills interested in developing landfill gas energy projects.
