GovEnergy 2009

GovEnergy 2009 is an energy workshop and tradeshow designed for federal agencies, local and state governments, and those organizations supporting their energy needs. Topics included in the agenda are incentives from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, implementation of federal requirements for renewable energy, how to finance renewable energy projects, contracting and leasing arrangements, and many other renewable energy-related items.
Methane to Markets Partnership Expo - Call for Abstracts

The Methane to Markets Partnership is requesting a one-page presentation abstract for potential participation in the workshop and policy session component of the Expo, which is to be held March 2-5, 2010 in New Delhi, India. Abstracts may cover any topic related to methane mitigation from landfills, agricultural sources, coal mining, oil and natural gas, as well as cross-cutting issue. Presentations should be about the deployment of commercially proven, third party verified technologies, not research and development nor marketing presentations.
Harmonizing Greenhouse Gas Assessment and Reporting Processes

The Air & Waste Management Association's Harmonizing Greenhouse Gas Assessment and Reporting Processes event will discuss advances in greenhouse gas emission estimation methods, emission inventories, and reporting. The event will also examine the convergence of mandatory and voluntary reporting initiatives as well as emerging technical and policy issues.
Methane to Markets Landfill Subcommittee Meeting

The Methane to Markets Partnership will hold its next Landfill Subcommittee Meeting concurrently with the SWANA's WASTECON 2009. There is no cost to attend the Methane to Markets Subcommittee meeting, but if you wish to attend WASTECON you must register and pay for that meeting separately. SWANA's WASTECON 2009 will include facility tours, training sessions, technical sessions, and exhibit and sponsorship opportunities. One of the facility tours will include landfill gas projects. There will be more than 30 technical sessions including landfill gas energy project case studies. Green Power's 6th Biogas Conference

Green Power's 6th Biogas Conference will bring together key players from the biogas sector to discuss strategies to increase production of on-farm, landfill, waste and wastewater biogas for heating, combined heat and power, and transportation. Topics include current legislation, federal and state programs for landfill gas energy projects, and information on how to convert landfill gas into pipeline quality natural gas.
13th Annual LMOP Conference and Project Expo

Methane to Markets Partnership Expo

Save the Date! Methane to Markets will soon be issuing a call for projects to showcase, so keep an eye out for this important announcement. The 2007 Partnership Expo's landfill breakout sessions highlighted new developments in estimating landfill methane recovery and lessons learned from landfill methane utilization projects. Participants also discussed technical perspectives on transitioning landfill biogas to beneficial use. Finding carbon finance for landfill methane projects and issues in bringing smaller scale projects to market were also discussed at length.
