Description: The production efficiency of the biogas-to-energy market is challenged by the existence of siloxanes, a destructive group of silicon-based organic compounds that can shorten the life of engines or gas turbines, and cause more frequent oil changes. Photovac designs and manufactures air monitoring instrumentation to measure siloxanes and other volatile organic compounds downstream such as hydrogen sulfide, alcohols, and alkanes from siloxane removal systems. Photovac instruments continuously monitor siloxane levels and enable operators to know when it is time to change out or regenerate the separation media, thereby optimizing their siloxane removal systems. Photovac's advanced gas chromatography technology enables low detection limits and consistent performance. Portable versions for quick spot checks and rack mounted versions for continuous monitoring are available.
