EPA Headquarters Repository Services

The EPA Headquarters Repository is one of three Agency repositories with holdings of EPA documents and other materials in hard copy. The other Agency repositories are located at the EPA-RTP Library in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and the AWBERC Library in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Library services for EPA Headquarters employees and the public are available through the Research Triangle Park, NC Library Services.

Many library services are available electronically for the public.  EPA employees have additional on-line resources (such as journals and other periodicals) available via Desktop Library Services.

EPA has committed to reestablishing a Headquarters and Chemical Library by September 30, 2008 to complement existing library services. More information is available in the Update on EPA's Library Network - March 2008 news item.

Borrowing Policy and Interlibrary Loans

The Repository's collection and resources are available for loan to other libraries. To locate EPA library and repository materials, you can search the Online Library System (OLS), EPA Libraries' online catalog.

Information For Other Libraries: We freely share materials with other libraries via the OCLC Interlibrary Loan system. Our OCLC symbol is EJB and we are members of FEDL (Federal Libraries and Information Centers) and LVIS (Libraries Very Interested in Sharing). For libraries that do not have OCLC access, please contact the Interlibrary Loan librarian at (919) 541-2777 or libraryrtp.reprint@epa.gov for alternate methods for requesting materials.
