A booklet entitled "Imprint of the Past: Ecological History of New Bedford Harbor" (U.S. EPA, Region 1; 2001; No. 901-R-01-003), was produced in partnership with the New Bedford Whaling Museum and EPA Region 1. This booklet includes many of the things found on this web page: the ecological history of New Bedford, a glossary, information about contaminants, and how to start an ecological history study. However, the text in the booklet is longer and contains more details about New Bedford than what is on the web page. Also, there are more maps and figures, and more old photographs, prints, and paintings from the New Bedford Whaling Museum's collection in the booklet.
