Map Showing Location of Mills and Wetlands

The New Bedford textile mills as shown on a map dated 1919 (Commission on Waterways and Public Lands of Massachusetts, 1919) were built on the wetlands, shown on an 1844 map (U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, 1844), to the north and south of the central business district.
