EPA has released the Benchmark Dose Software (BMDS) Version 2.1.1, a tool which is used to facilitate the application of benchmark dose (BMD)1 methods to EPA hazardous pollutant risk assessments.

The U.S. EPA Benchmark Dose Technical Guidance Document contains examples of how the models in BMDS can be used to estimate points of departure for the estimation of chemical risk.
