National Sustainable Design Expo

Info for Exhibitors

An Opportunity to Exhibit!

The National Sustainable Design Expo featuring EPA's P3 (People, Prosperity and the Planet) Competition is held each April on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The Ninth Annual National Sustainable Design Expo will be open to the public April 18-19, 2013.

Expo exhibitors are given a unique opportunity to showcase their contributions to advancing sustainability while discovering the sustainable technologies developed by more than 400 university students in engineering, sciences, law, economics, architecture and other fields participating in EPA’s P3 Program. Each year, EPA awards grants to teams of university students to research, develop and design sustainable solutions to environmental challenges around the world. The teams present their projects with posters, models, and, in some cases, full-scale prototypes as they compete for additional funding to further design, develop and implement their projects.

The Expo brings together a diverse group of scientists, engineers, and organization and business leaders to discuss innovations designed to advance economic growth while reducing environmental impact and to showcase their approaches to sustainability to the interested public. Technology developers and other sustainability-driven organizations will be able to meet and encourage the future stewards of sustainability. Expected attendees include the general public, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, other federal agencies, nonprofit organizations, the scientific community, industry, students and the media.
