Title: Eco-Energy Demonstration Model: Anaerobic Digestion, Algae and Energy Prosperity
University of Florida students are building and testing an eco-energy model that will link methanogenesis and photosynthesis to utilize wastes and generate biofuels. Consisting of an anaerobic digester coupled to a photo-bioreactor, the nutrient-rich wastewater from an anaerobic digester will sustain algae in a photo-bioreactor to produce a biofuel feedstock.
