Title: Thermoelectric Power Harvesting Systems
Brigham Young University students are testing a prototype rig in which thermoelectric generators are connected to a heat source and a heat sink via variable thermal pathways in order to convert waste heat into electrical production. The test results are expected to demonstrate and validate a model that the system level efficiency of a thermoelectric power harvesting system can be improved by careful design of the thermal pathways connecting the device to the source and the sink.
