Increase Community Capacity Building: Increase the capacity of grassroots leaders to have significant involvement in local environmental issues and expand the network of organizations beyond North Hartford.
Gather Accurate Environmental Health Data: Build a coalition of health care professionals and community groups to assess existing health data and conduct neighborhood health surveys as the first step in a comparative risk assessment.
Develop Joint Partnership with other Federal Agencies: Synchronize HUD's efforts to revitalize the housing of inner cities with the UEP's goal to restore and revitalize the urban environment in Hartford.
