Software for Calculating Upper Confidence Limits (UCLs)
The Environmental Sciences Division (ESD) in Las Vegas, NV operated the TSC until October 1, 2007. The TSC is currently operated through ORD's Office of Science Policy (OSP) and administered by the Superfund Technical Liaison program - Felicia Barnett in Region 4 is the acting TSC Director.

Installation Instructions ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02)

Open Windows Explorer and create a new directory called ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02). | |

Download (save) the ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02) zipped files (setup.zip) to the ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02). directory. | |

Use Winzip (or equivalent, e.g., EasyZip) to extract all of the files in the ProUCL directory. | |

Using Windows Explorer, right-click on the ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02) main directory and make sure that the read-only attribute is off. | |

Using Windows Explorer, create a shortcut (optional) by right-clicking on the unzipped file, ProUCL.exe (application), in the ProUCL directory and drag the shortcut to the desktop (optional: rename to ProUCL 4.00.04 / 02). | |

Using Windows Explorer, start ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02) by left double-clicking on the unzipped file, ProUCL.exe (application), in the ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02) directory, or by left double-clicking on the ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02) shortcut, or use the RUN command from the Start Menu to locate and run ProUCL.exe. | |

Try to open an example file in the ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02) sub-directory, Data. If the file does not open, be sure that the read-only attribute is off (right-click on the Data sub-directory). | |

If the computer does not have .NET Framework 1.1 installed (either a pre-2002 Windows operating system or a late version of Windows XP), then it will be necessary for the end user to download it from Microsoft. A Google search for "NET Framework 1.1" will yield several download locations. (Also available upon download of ProUCL 4.00.04 (4.00.02) for your convenience.) | |
