2000 Landsat Image
The Upper White River study area (21,848 km²) can be viewed from space, using satellite imagery, such as this Landsat image from 2000. The reflectance values from this image and other contextual information were used, in combination with other remote sensing and GIS data, to determine the land-cover conditions on the ground between the early 1970s and the present. This is an example of imagery used, but it does not represent the full set of imagery utilized for this project.
