National Elevation Dataset
The Upper White River study area (21,848 kmē) has varied topography
throughout. The National Elevation Dataset (NED) has been developed by
merging the highest-resolution, best quality elevation data available
across the United States into a seamless format. Applicable portions of
the NED are used to assess landscape condition among four 8-digit
Hydrologic Unit Code (HUC) regions and 244 smaller subwatersheds of
varying sizes, in an effort to determine the vulnerability of water
quality throughout the area.
