Water-Quality Sampling Locations
The Upper White River study area (21,848 kmē) has been field-sampled by a variety of trained
monitoring groups (e.g., the U.S. Geological Survey and State environmental agencies) over the
past sixty years. A large number of water-quality sampling locations (i.e., "stations") have been
reviewed for consistency and for relevance to the goals of this assessment. Thus, 244 water
quality sampling locations were selected, which include a variety of relevant biological, physical,
and chemical information for surface waters in the area. These 244 water-quality sampling
locations were used to delineate 244 subwatersheds.
