C. Andy Miller

C. Andy Miller is a mechanical engineer in the US EPA Office of Research and Development, National Risk Management Laboratory, Air Pollution Prevention and Control Division, (APPCD), Air Pollution Technology Branch (APTB). He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Andy is also a registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina.

Research Area
His research focus has been on characterization of emissions from combustion sources, including work on emissions from the combustion of emulsified fuels. He has worked in several other related areas, including development of NOx controls using combustion modifi cation and application of artificial intelligence to control emissions from hazardous waste incineration. Dr.
Miller is currently the leader of the Biofuels/Bioenergy Research Team for NRMRL.
