From Interstate 75 North

  1. Take Exit 3, Hopple Street. The exit is left off the highway. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left on to Hopple Street.
  2. Go back over Interstate 75, through the first light and up the hill.  Hopple Street becomes Martin Luther King Drive.
  3. Continue on ML King Drive, across Clifton Avenue, and past the University of Cincinnati on the right.
  4. AWBERC is the large multistory, tan cement facility on the left. The driveway into the parking lot is just before you reach the building.

 

From Interstate 75 South

  1. Take Exit 3, Hopple Street. At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Hopple Street.
  2. Go back over Interstate 75, through the first light and up the hill.  Hopple Street becomes Martin Luther King Drive.
  3. Continue on ML King Drive, across Clifton Avenue, and past the University of Cincinnati on the right.
  4. AWBERC is the large multistory, tan cement facility on the left. The driveway into the parking lot is just before you reach the building.

On I-75 North – From Downtown Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)

  1. Follow I-75 North into Ohio to Exit 8, Towne St. Turn left. Towne St. turns into Center Hill Ave.
  2. Cross two sets of railroad tracks and go about 1 mile to the top of the hill.
  3. At the light, turn left onto Proctor and Gamble Company access road (shared with University of Cincinnati and EPA). Go about 500 feet.
  4. Turn left onto EPA/University of Cincinnati access road. Go straight ahead to end of the road.
  5. At the facility gate, use the speakerbox to request access.

 

On I-75 South – From Dayton, Columbus, and Indianapolis

  1. Follow I-75 South to Exit 9, Paddock Rd. Turn left onto Paddock Rd and go about 1 mile.
  2. Turn right onto Towne St. Towne St. turns into Center Hill Ave. Cross two sets of railroad tracks and go about 2 miles.
  3. At the light, turn left onto Proctor and Gamble Company access road (shared with University of Cincinnati and EPA). Go about 500 feet.

From the New Jersey Turnpike

  1. Take Exit 10.
  2. After paying toll, bear right and take the first exit, Route 514 West (Highland Park).
  3. At the third traffic light and after the railroad crossing, bear right onto Old Post Road.
  4. Make a jug handle turn-back onto Woodbridge Avenue, heading east. Stay to the right after the turn and take the first right (before the bus stop). The entrance sign reads: “U.S. EPA Edison Facility.” Upon entering the gate, sign in with the guard and follow his or her directions to your final destination.

 

From the Garden State Parkway North Bound

  1. Exit at Interchange 129 (Raritan Toll Plaza) and cross the Raritan River.
  2. Follow the signs to Route 440 South/Route 287 North and exit onto Route 514 West (Woodbridge Avenue).
  3. At the third traffic light and after the railroad crossing, bear right onto Old Post Road.
  4. Make a jug handle turn-back onto Woodbridge Avenue, heading east. Stay to the right after the turn and take the first right (before the bus stop). From the Garden State Parkway South Bound

  1. Exit at Interchange 130 (Route 1).
  2. Take Route 1 south through three traffic lights. About one mile past the third light, take the Bonhamtown exit onto Main Street.
  3. Follow Main Street to the first traffic light. Turn right onto Woodbridge Avenue West.
  4. After the railroad crossing, bear right onto Old Post Road.
  5. Make a jug handle turn-back onto Woodbridge Avenue, heading east. Stay to the right after the turn and take the first right (before the bus stop). The entrance sign reads: “U.S. EPA Edison Facility.” Upon entering the gate, sign in with the guard and follow his or her directions to your final destination.

 

From Route 1

  1. Take the Bonhamtown Exit onto Main Street.

  1. Take the CR-531 S/US-1 S Exit (Exit 1B) toward Trenton.
  2. At the top of the ramp, bear right onto CR-531 S/South Main Street.
  3. Go about 0.7 miles and bear right onto Woodbridge Avenue/CR-514 West.
  4. Go 0.2 miles and bear right immediately after the railroad crossing onto Old Post Road.
  5. Take the first left onto Grace Street. Move to the right lane, then go left at the stop light onto Woodbridge Avenue, heading east.
  6. Stay to the right after the turn and take the first right (before the bus stop). The entrance sign reads: “U.S. EPA Edison Facility.” Upon entering the gate, sign in with the guard and follow his or her directions to your final destination.

 

From Staten Island and Outerbridge Crossing

  1. After exiting the bridge and upon entering New Jersey, go straight on Route 440 South for about six miles.
  2. Bear right at the fork for the New Jersey Turnpike, then bear left and exit onto Route 514 West (Woodbridge Avenue).  This is a left‑hand exit just before the entrance to the turnpike.
  3. At the third traffic light and after the railroad crossing, bear right onto Old Post Road.
  4. Make a jug handle turn-back onto Woodbridge Avenue, heading east. Stay to the right after the turn and take the first right (before the bus stop).   1. At Exit 59B, take the ramp right onto OH 450 toward State Route 50/Hillsboro.
  2. Turn right (south) onto State Route 50.
  3. Arrive at 1003 State Route 50.

 

Going South on Interstate 75 from Dayton, OH

  1. Take Interstate 275 toward Interstate 71/Columbus.
  2. At Exit 59, turn right onto OH 450 toward State Route 50/Hillsboro.
  3. Keep left to stay on the ramp toward State Route 50/Hillsboro.
  4. At Exit 59B, take the ramp right onto Milford Parkway toward State Route 50/Hillsboro.
  5. Turn right (south) onto State Route 50.
  6. Arrive at 1003 State Route 50.

From Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City

Note: The distance from the airport to the laboratory is about 90 miles and will require about 1 hour and 45 minutes of driving time at the posted speed limits.

  1. Leave the airport by proceeding north on Meridian.
  2. Exit east onto Airport Road and proceed to Interstate 44 West. As soon as possible, move to the middle lane on Interstate 44 West; do not exit right to Lawton.  The middle lane becomes Interstate 240 East.
  3. Take Interstate 240 East to Interstate 35 South to Dallas.
  4. Go south on Interstate 35 about 36 miles to Exit 86, the Wayne and Payne exit for Highway 59A. Exit right. Turn left at the stop sign and proceed east on Highway 59A.
  5. After about 28 miles, Highway 59A will merge with Highway 3W. Continue on Highway 3W to Ada. (Highway 3W eventually meets Ada on the west side.)
  6. One mile west of Ada, Highway 3W will merge with Highway 19. Continue on Highway 19/3W toward Ada.
  7. Exit right at the Roff/Coalgate exit (1 West/3 East). You are now on the
    J.A. Richardson Bypass (“the Loop”), which bypasses Ada on the south side.
  8. Continue on the Loop about 3 miles to the Kerr Lab Road exit and exit right.
  9. Turn left at the first stop sign; then turn right at the next stop sign. You are now on Kerr Lab Road.
  10. Proceed on Kerr Lab Road about one mile, and turn left at the signs for the
    R.S. Kerr Research Center. The laboratory is the first building on the right.

 

From Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport

Note: The distance from the airport to the laboratory is about 160 miles and will require about three hours of driving time at the posted speed limits.

  1. Leave the airport by proceeding north on Highway 121.
  2. Take Highway 121 north to Interstate 35E, and proceed north on Interstate 35E.
  3. Go north on Interstate 35E/35 past the Oklahoma state line to Exit 72, the Pauls Valley exit for Highway 19. Proceed east to Ada.
  4. One mile west of Ada, Highway 19 will merge with Highway 3W. Continue on Highway 19/3W toward Ada.
  5. Exit right at the Roff/Coalgate exit (1 West/3 East). You are now on the
    J.A. Richardson Bypass (“the Loop”), which bypasses Ada on the south side.
  6. Continue on the Loop about 3 miles to the Kerr Lab Road exit and exit right.
  7. Turn left at the first stop sign; then turn right at the next stop sign. You are now on Kerr Lab Road.
  8. Proceed on Kerr Lab Road about one mile, and turn left at the signs for the R.S. Kerr Research Center. The laboratory is the first building on the right.

From Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Points East via Interstate 40

  1. Take Interstate 40 west toward Research Triangle Park, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
  2. Take Exit 279A toward T.W. Alexander Drive and merge onto NC 147 South.
  3. Take NC 147 South (the Durham Freeway) for 0.8 miles. At the T intersection (traffic signal), turn left onto T.W. Alexander Drive.
  4. Go 0.3 miles to the traffic signal and turn left into the main entrance of the EPA-RTP campus. Visitors must stop at the guard’s station to show photo identification and get a parking pass.
  5. Proceed up the driveway past the National Computer Center on the left. Follow the signs to the Main Campus entrance and visitor’s lot.

 

From Chapel Hill and Points West via Interstate 40

  1. Take Interstate 40 east toward Raleigh.
  2. Take Exit 279A toward T.W. Alexander Drive.
  3. At the stop sign, turn right.
  4. At the T intersection (traffic signal), turn left onto T.W. Alexander Drive.
  5. Go 0.3 miles to the traffic signal and turn left into the main entrance of the EPA-RTP campus. Visitors must stop at the guard’s station to show photo identification and get a parking pass.
  6. Proceed up the driveway past the National Computer Center on the left. Follow the signs to the Main Campus entrance and visitor’s lot.

 

From Downtown Durham via NC 147 (the Durham Freeway)

  1. Take NC 147 (the Durham Freeway) South toward Research Triangle Park.
  2. At the T intersection (stoplight), turn left onto T.W. Alexander Drive.
  3. Go 0.3 miles to the stoplight and turn left into the main entrance of the EPA-RTP campus. Visitors must stop at the guard’s station to show photo identification and get a parking pass.
  4. Proceed up the driveway past the National Computer Center on the left. Follow the signs to the Main Campus entrance and visitor’s lot.

From Interstate 75 South

  1. Take Exit 1G, Gest Street. Turn right onto Gest Street.
  2. Continue on Gest Street until you go under the railroad tracks. After the railroad tracks, take the first right. (If you get to Evans Street, you’ve gone too far.)
  3. Go past the first complex of buildings on the right. The T&E facility is the next building on the right.

 

From Interstate 75 North

  1. Take Exit 1D, 6th Street/State Route 50/Route 264. Turn right onto 6th Street/State Route 50.
  2. Follow State Route 50 back under Interstate 75 to Gest Street. Turn right onto Gest Street.
  3. Continue on Gest Street until you go under the railroad tracks. After the railroad tracks, take the first right. (If you get to Evans Street, you’ve gone too far.)
  4. Go past the first complex of buildings on the right. The T&E facility is the next building on the right.
