Dr. DiGiulio has a B.S. in environmental engineering from Temple University, an M.S. in environmental science from Drexel University, and a Ph.D. in soil, water, and environmental science from the University of Arizona. He was a remedial project manager in the Superfund Program at EPA Region 3 for six years. For the past 20 years at GWERD, he has conducted research and provided technical assistance to EPA program and regional offices on subsurface gas flow and vapor transport. He has authored a number of EPA reports and journal articles in the areas of soil vacuum extraction, gas sparging, gas permeability testing, soil-gas sampling, vapor intrusion, and mathematical modeling. Currently he is assisting EPA’s Office of Water on rule making and conducting research on geological sequestration of carbon dioxide.

Dr. DiGiulio’s research areas are geologic sequestration of carbon and gas and vapor intrusion.
