Solidification/Stabilization: Evaluation of Long-Term Performance
EPA evaluates the long-term performance of solidification/stabilization as a technology for treatment of both toxic metal- and toxic organic-contaminated soils. Samples will be collected from sites in the US, United Kingdom, and France. The samples will be subjected to a battery of internationally used tests that assess physical and chemical property changes over time. External project participants include:
- British Environment Agency,
- French Environment Agency,
- University of Greenwich (UK),
- University of New Hampshire (US),
- Portland Cement Association (US), and
- British Cement Association (UK).
