Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program
| ETV Verified Technologies |
The ETV Program has verified the performance of 408 innovative environmental technologies that can be used to monitor, prevent, control, and clean up pollution. See the full list of ETV verified technologies. |
Baghouse Filtration Product Verified
The ETV Air Pollution Control Technology Center, operated by RTI International, has verified the performance of GE Energy’s QG061 Filtration Media for controlling fine particulate matter (PM2.5) emissions. The fabric filter was evaluated for the following parameters: outlet particle concentration at standard conditions (for PM2.5 and total mass), average and initial residual pressure drop, residual pressure drop increase, filtration cycle time, mass gain of test sample filter, and number of cleaning cycles. The reports and statement are available on the
ETV Web Site.
Information Session, Testing of Airborne Natural Gas Leak Detection Technologies
The U.S. EPA ETV Advanced Monitoring Systems Center, operated in cooperation with Battelle, and ETV Canada are planning joint verification testing of airborne natural gas leak detection technologies. The test will involve field testing under a variety of conditions. Test collaborators are being sought. A teleconference will be conducted on Monday, July 20, 2009, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. EST, to present an outline of the test design to interested technology vendors. Although the focus of the call is joint U.S./Canada verification test design, vendors interested in U.S.-only or Canada-only verification are also welcome and can be considered for verification. Please contact Ken Cowen, Battelle, at (614) 424-5547 or cowenk@battelle.org, or Mona El Hallak, ETV Canada, at (905) 822-4133 ext. 239 or melhallak@etvcanada.ca, with questions or interest in participating on the teleconference by no later than Wednesday, July 15.

Vendor Solicitations |
| ETV centers issue periodic solicitations for vendors and collaborators interested in verification. For a list of active ETV vendor solicitations, please visit Vendors Wanted, or contact the appropriate ETV center. Recently issued solicitations include the following: |
ETV Advanced Monitoring Systems Center Solicits Technology Vendors
The AMS Center, operated by Battelle, is soliciting vendors and collaborators interested in verification testing of the following technologies.
Non-Radioactive Alternatives to Sealed Source Radiography Cameras: For industrial applications including monitoring the integrity of pipes and tanks, among other applications. This test is a collaboration between the EPA Office of Air and Radiation’s Alternative Technology Initiative (ATI) and the AMS Center. ATI fosters the acceptance and voluntary market adoption of non-radioactive technologies, e.g., alternatives to devices that currently use sealed sources. ATI is interested in commercially-available and commercial-ready alternatives to radiography cameras, including devices qualified for participation in Federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Programs (EPA, DOD, etc.). Interested vendors of devices that use ultrasound or x-ray, or such devices using a non-nuclear energy source are being solicited. Vendors should contact Stephanie Buehler, Battelle, at (614) 424-3972 or buehlers@battelle.org before July 16, 2009, with interest in participating in this verification test.
Monitoring Technologies: Technologies for monitoring contaminants in air, water, and soil. For more information, please contact Ann Louise Sumner, Battelle, at (614) 424-3973 or ETV-AMSCenter@battelle.org.

ETV Drinking Water Systems Center Solicits Technology Vendors
The DWS Center, operated by NSF International, is soliciting vendors of technologies for: water conservation and reuse (e.g., to address water loss as a result of evaporation and other effects of global climate change); energy efficiency in drinking water treatment (e.g., nanotechnology or energy recovery systems integrated into treatment equipment); and treatment to reduce the volume, hazard, or risk of residuals. Technologies that address one or more of the above issues and also treat, reduce or remove one or more of the following contaminants are of high priority, should and when funding becomes available: contaminants regulated under the Long Term 2 Enhanced Surface Water Treatment Rule (particularly membrane separation and ultraviolet inactivation processes), Groundwater Rule, arsenic, radium, uranium, and other existing drinking water rules. For more information, please contact Bruce Bartley, NSF, at (734) 769-5148 or bartley@nsf.org, or Jeff Adams, EPA, at (513) 569-7835 or adams.jeff@epa.gov. |
ETV Materials Management and Remediation (MMR) Center Solicits Technology Vendors
The MMR Center, operated by Battelle, is soliciting vendors and collaborators interested in verification testing of the following technologies.
Materials Management Technologies: Technologies in the areas of plastics recycling, tire recycling, electronics recycling, materials sorting, and manufactured soils. Interested vendors are asked to please contact Amy Dindal, Battelle, at (561) 422-0113 or dindala@battelle.org.
Remediation Technologies: Technologies in the areas of delivery methods, biological processes, in situ chemical oxidants, in situ chemical reductants, soil and sediment remediation, and emerging contaminant remediation. Interested vendors are asked to please contact Amy Dindal, Battelle, at (561) 422-0113 or dindala@battelle.org. |
ETV Water Quality Protection Center Solicits Technology Vendors
The WQP Center, operated by NSF International, is soliciting vendors and collaborators for verification testing of source water protection and wet weather flow technologies, including grouting and coating materials for infrastructure rehabilitation. For a list of technology categories prioritized by this center. Vendors with technologies in these areas that are interested in having their products verified should contact Tom Stevens, NSF, at (734) 769-5347 or stevenst@nsf.org. |
European AdvanceETV Project Solicits Vendors
The new AdvanceETV project, sponsored by the European Commission, is currently seeking vendors interested in joint verification under the U.S., Canadian, and European ETV programs. The objective is for participating vendors to receive joint verifications from three programs at once; AdvanceETV will partially fund the verification. Interested vendors should contact one of the following AdvanceETV partners: (Europe) Christian Gron, DHI, at +45 4516 9570 or chg@dhigroup.com; (U.S.) Amy Dindal, Battelle, at +1 (561) 422-0113 or dindala@battelle.org; or (Canada) John Neate, OCETA, at +1 (905) 822-4133 or jhneate@etvcanada.ca.
