EPA Facilities
The Office of Administration (OA) seeks to improve the environmental performance, including energy and water efficiency and resource conservation, of all EPA facilities.
EPA Facilities Manual
EPA's standards for planning and managing the Agency's office and laboratory facilities are outlined in the EPA Facilities Manual. View the EPA Facilities Manual and its supporting materials.
EPA occupies approximately 204 offices and laboratories nationwide. Of these, EPA has approximately 55 large facilities—facilities that are greater than 20,000 gross square feet. They include 29 reporting laboratory facilities (facilities for which EPA pays the utility bills), 10 regional offices, 6 large program offices, and 12 headquarters office buildings. The remainder of EPA's facilities are smaller, special purpose buildings and project offices scattered throughout the country. U.S. EPA facilities are either owned by the Agency, owned or leased by the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and assigned to EPA, or leased directly by EPA.
