Agencywide Water Intensity in Gallons Per GSF

This chart compares EPA's Agencywide water intensity in gallons per gross square foot (GSF) from FY 2007 to FY 2010 versus the 2 percent annual potable water intensity reduction relative to an FY 2007 baseline required by Executive Order (EO) 13423 and extended by EO 13514.

In FY 2007, EPA's Agencywide water consumption was 133,734,591 gallons, and its GSF was 3,820,330 GSF. This equates to 35.01 gallons per GSF.

In FY 2008, EPA's Agencywide water consumption was 124,690,907 gallons, and its GSF was 3,835,949 GSF. This equates to 32.51 gallons per GSF.

In FY 2009, EPA's Agencywide water consumption was 119,725,525 gallons, and its GSF was 3,846,521 GSF. This equates to 31.13 gallons per GSF.

In FY 2010, EPA's Agencywide water consumption was 109,598,300 gallons, and its GSF was 3,849,810 GSF. This equates to 28.47 gallons per GSF.
