This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Acquisition Management (OAM) is seeking a contractor capable of providing our National Enforcement Investigations Center (NEIC) with eight (8) high-pressure filtration units as required and recommended by the USEPA SW-846 Method 1311 Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure. Suitable filters will have filter holders having an internal capacity of 1.5L or greater, and equipped to accommodate a 142 mm diameter filter, are recommended. In addition, type 316 stainless steel equipment may be used when evaluating the mobility of both organic and inorganic components. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency intends to award a firm-fixed price Purchase Order, and services should be delivered as close to November 6, 2008 as reasonably possible. The services are classified under North American Industry Classification System code 333999. All quotes must be inclusive of all taxes and fees. The Government will award to the lowest price, technically acceptable contractor.
