The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), National Air & Radiation Environmental Laboratory (NAREL), under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Rules (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, requests that you submit a quotation for issue of a purchase order for an alpha spectroscopy system with a Frisch Grid chamber detector, including electronics, supporting hardware, software and shipping, in accordance with the attached specifications. The EPA reserves the right to issue separate purchase orders for Items 1 and 2 (as described in the specifications), if it is determined that this will provide the best value to the government.
Quotes must prove that each of the items meets or exceeds the attached specifications. Quotes will be evaluated for the lowest price technically acceptable.
EPA requires that all equipment be purchased FOB destination. Quotations are to include all costs associated with shipping, handling, and insurance for delivery FOB the National Air and Radiation Environmental Laboratory in Montgomery, Alabama.
All questions concerning this RFQ, either technical or contractual, must be submitted via email to Trina Fisher, Contract Specialist at fisher.trina@epa.gov with reference to RFQ-DC-09-00175 by Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.
Each offeror shall submit an electronic copy of their quotation. Final responses to this RFQ must be received by Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 1:00 pm via email to Trina Fisher at fisher.trina@epa.gov.
