The United States Environmental Protection Agency National Enforcement Investigations Center in Denver, Colorado is seeking quotes for Ricoh cameras and accessories detailed in the specifications attachmed below. Quotes are being requested in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A firm-fixed-price Purchase Order will be issued to the successful vendor.

The brand name justification is as follows. The NEIC field branch currently owns one Ricoh camera with integrated GPS capability. NEIC has field-tested the camera - for reliability, robustness, run time duration, GPS data integrity, photograph quality and data generation and management usability - and found the camera to meet its needs and expectations. After the rigorous testing, the field branch based certain methods/procedures on the operation of this particular camera. In addition, it is important that all agents be trained on the same equipment, that the equipment is compatible with one another and that the equipment is able to be synchronized with another.

Only vendors that are authorized Ricoh vendors will be considered. Items will be shipped to the following address:

U.S. EPA intends to make award based on the best value to the Government. The evaluation factor that will be considered is price. Quotes must be submitted no later 4 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2010 to Contract Specialist Dionne Wright at wright.dionne@epa.gov. Quotes received after the response date will not be considered.
