The purpose of this update is to detail the requirements for the mandatory pre-award walkthrough. In addition, a revised Request for Quote/Statement of Work is provided below.
Mandatory Pre-Award Site Walkthrough
There will be a mandatory pre-award site walkthrough at 10:00 am, EST, on Friday, August 24. Prospective vendors shall meet with the Contracting Officer’s Representative at the main lobby of 1310 L Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20005. Prospective vendors are required to attend this walkthrough in order to be able to submit a quote for this requirement. To participate in the walkthrough, attendees shall provide government-issued photo identification when entering EPA facilities.

Battery Backup Systems for 1310 L Street, NW
The U.S. Environment Protection Agency’s (EPA) Security Management Division (SMD) is seeking a vendor to provide battery backup systems or an Uninterrupted Power System (UPS) to support Emergency Communications System at the EPA’s 1310 L Street, NW, Washington, DC offices.
The EPA requests that you submit a quotation for issue of a purchase order for the UPS and requirement installation labor. Any firm believing itself to be capable of meeting the EPA’s requirement, as stated within the attached Request for Quote/ Statement of Work (RFQ/SOW), shall submit a quote by 4:00 p.m., on Monday, August 27, 2012. Further details regarding this requirement are contained within the RFQ/SOW.
This requirement is being conducted as a small business set-aside.
Prospective sources are reminded that an award can only be made to a Contractor who is registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in accordance with FAR 4.11.
