Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Maintenance and Monitoring Agreement for Datawatch Systems installed at 1310 L Street and 1099 14th Street, Washington, D.C.
The U.S. EPA intends to award on a sole source basis, under FAR Part 13 with Datawatch Systems, Inc. for a service contract for monitoring and maintenance of a card reader security system at EPA offices located at 1310 L Street, N.W. and 1099 14th Street, N.W. in Washington, D.C. This purchase order is expected to be for 8 months. EPA has identified Datawatch Systems as the only vendor who can meet the requirement due to existing system compatibility and uniformity requirements imposed on the EPA by owners of the facilities. Currently the EPA has 33 Datawatch card readers installed at 1310 L Street and 1 card reader installed at 1099 14th Street. All of these card readers are by Datawatch and are monitored and maintained under agreement with Datawatch.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested firms may identify themselves and their capability to fulfill this requirement by 10:00 a.m., EST, September 24, 2012.
