THIS IS A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT, NOT AN RFQ.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), Office of Radiation and Indoor Air (ORIA), Indoor Environments Division (IED) intends to award a sole source fixed-price Purchase Order using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to the American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP) in the amount of $20,000.00. The purpose of this acquisition is to support the 2013 ACCP Community Asthma and COPD Coalitions Symposium. The Symposium will feature successful education approaches and effective community practices for health care providers caring for people with asthma. The Symposium will also feature detailed content on EPA's Communities in Action for Asthma Friendly Environments Initiative. The Symposium allows the EPA a unique opportunity to reach an audience which specifically targets and convenes the 200 asthma coalitions from across the country to address their unique challenges.
The ACCP will assist in developing the agenda, organizing speaker panels, recruiting coalition members from across the county and acquiring space for the symposium. The EPA will participate in the design of Symposium sessions, including developing content on the communities in Action revamped online Network, participate in facilitation capacity and receive copies of the Symposium presentations.
NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirements as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 8 calendar days of date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
