This is a simplified acquisition for Sponsorship from EPA, Office of Children's Health Protection in the amount of $15,000.00 for The Children's Environmental Health Network Conference, (CEHN) which is convening in San Francisco, CA, from May 30, 2012 to June 1, 2012, in support of Epigenetics to Pediatric Environmental Health.

The conference will highlight the role of epigenetics in determining the impact of the environment on children's current and future health. The role of the Office of Children's Health at EPA is to protect children's health from environmental hazards where children live, learn, and play. CEHN's research on the mechanisms of abnormal child development is very important in EPA's ability to protect children's health. The work that CEHN is doing is not being done elsewhere.

CEHN is a non-profit organization and has been working in this area since the late 1980's and has a long standing mission to further research and support research into the mechanisms of abnormal child development and function by which environmental agents exert their effects.

NO SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS PROCUREMENT.

Under FAR Part 13.105 synopsis and posting requirements, this is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers. All inquires and concerns must be addressed in writing to the Naomi Jones via the email address below. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Responses to the notice must be submitted within ten (10) calendar days of the electronic posting. A determination not to compete this requirement is within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government.
