The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's is issuing this 8(a) solicitation for Logistical and Administrative Support for the Science Advisory Board (SAB). This action is set-aside as an 8(a) competitive solicitation in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 19.8. Only U.S. Small Business Administration-certified 8(a) firms may apply. Offers from other than 8(a) certified firms will not be considered.

EPA's SAB is a body of outside independent experts who provide advice to the EPA Administrator on a broad range of scientific and technical issues. Within the SAB, there are nine federal advisory committees which operate under the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA). EPA's SAB Staff Office provides all programmatic, administrative, technical and logistical support to the Board. Under this contract, the contractor will be tasked with providing support with travel arrangements, meeting logistics, and on-site administrative functions for advisory committee meetings.

This competitive procurement will replace EPA Contract EP-W-08-056, which was awarded under the authority of FAR 19.8. The Government anticipates awarding a single fixed-rate, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract as a result of this solicitation, with a one-year base period, and four one-year option periods, for a maximum period of performance of five years. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541611, Administrative Management and General Management Consulting Services, with a size standard of $7.0M in average annual receipts.
