The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to award a purchase order under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13--Simplified Acquisition Procedures to the Embassy Suites at Centennial Olympic Park of Atlanta, GA. This order is for the reservation of hotel rooms for the EPA Superfund Analytical Operations Training Conference on February 23-26, 2009 . Facility requirements include up to fifty (50) sleeping rooms per night at or below the Government-established per diem rates set forth in Federal Travel Regulation Diem Bulletin 09-01. In addition, the facility must be within seven-tenths (0.7) of a mile walking distance from the Sam Nunn Federal Center, in Atlanta, GA, where the conference will take place. The facility must also comply with the given quality ratings the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq. (Public Law 101-391), and the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA) . Market research has demonstrated that The Embassy Suites at Centennial Olympic Park is the only facility that can meet the Government's requirements at established per diem rates for the required dates.

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) AND NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. Notwithstanding, any firm who believes it is capable of meeting EPA's requirement as stated herein may submit a response, which if received within 10 calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing. A determination not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Please note that any prospective offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration system at www.ccr.gov prior to award in accordance with FAR Subpart 4.11.
