Where We are Now: Discussions of Diesel Exhaust Reduction Strategies and Incentives
Brief presentations by the ports community regarding their diesel emission reduction efforts:

Discussion of Diesel Exhaust Reduction Strategies and Incentives
Background materials: ICF Report

Port authority, terminal operator, and other experience with the following:
-Replacement and Repowers
-Retrofit
-Cleaner Fuels (ULSD, 500ppm highway, CNG, emulsions)
-Anti-idling
-Improved Logistics or Gate Systems
-Ocean-going vessel programs (e.g., voluntary speed reduction)
-Mobile Source Emission Reduction Credits (MERCs)

Possibilities for future funding of grants or demonstration programs
-Other funding opportunities (CMAQ, SEPs, etc)
-Tax incentives
-Recognition programs for port authorities, for tenants, for shipping
-EMS with focus on air quality
-Educational materials for a variety of audiences (print or video)
