Contingency Measures

  • lower RVP gasoline
  • if lower RVP gasoline is not allowed, an alternative unspecified emission control measure deemed appropriate will be implemented

Schedule

  • finding of violation, submittal of budget request, hiring of additional staff for program within 1 month
  • securing of laboratory contracts within 2 months
  • purchasing of needed equipment within 3 months
  • initiation of public awareness program and securing of laboratory equipment within 4 months
  • gasoline dispensing facilities achieve final compliance
  • if alternative measure is used, decision made and implemented within 12 months of violation notification
