Maintenance Plan - Key Features

  • 1990 base year; 1992 attainment year; projections to 2007
  • VOC and NOx RACT for all major sources subject to RACT in the Reading area
  • periodic inventory every three years

Contingency Plan Trigger

  • violation of the ozone standard
  • exceedance of the ozone standard
  • if periodic inventory exceeds the attainment year inventory by 10 percent or more, state will evaluate the control measures to see if any contingency measure should be implemented

Contingency Measures

  • low enhanced I/M program
  • improved rule effectiveness for facilities under SIC codes 26, 27, 30, 31, 34, and 51

Schedule

  • adopt one or more continency measures within one year, or as expeditiously as practicable
