Course Description
This course is intended primarily for new employees in government air pollution control
agencies with no prior knowledge of air pollution control technology. The course may
also be useful for persons seeking a general knowledge of the air pollution field. The
instructional materials provide a broad yet thorough coverage of air pollution and its
control. After completing this course, students should be familiar with the various
interrelated aspects of air pollution control, understand the basic terminology, and
have a rudimentary understanding of some of the technical aspects of regulating, measuring,
and controlling air pollution. This course is recommended as a prerequisite to classroom
Course 452 &Principles and Practices of Air Pollution Control.&
