2006 PM-2.5 |
2006 PM-2.5 area designations are effective on December 14, 2009. |
One or more previously violating sites (i.e., for 2005-2007) in this area do not have valid 2006-2008 24-hour design values (i.e., those meeting NAAQS completeness criteria). As such, a 2006-2008 area-level design value is not shown, even in situations where there are additional sites in the area with valid/complete ones, because the highest of those might not represent actual maximum population exposure in the area. The 2006-2008 site listing included in the Excel version of this file shows 2006-2008 design values for each site. |
1997 PM-2.5 |
1997 PM-2.5 area designations were effective on April 5, 2005. |
All of the areas designated nonattainment for the 1997 PM-2.5 standards violated the annual standard. Two 1997 PM-2.5 areas also violated the 24-hour standard of 65 ug/m3 (Los Angeles: 72 ug/m3, and San Joaquin Valley: 76 ug/m3.) |
