The National and Governmental Advisory Committees (NAC - GAC)

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is inviting nominations from a diverse range of qualified candidates to be considered for appointment to fill vacancies on the National Advisory Committee (NAC) and the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) to the U.S. Representative to the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC). N A C: National Advisory Committee
Article 17 of the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (the environmental side accord to the North American Free Trade Agreement) authorizes the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to each convene a national advisory committee, comprising members of its public, including representatives of non-governmental organizations and persons, to advise it on the implementation and further elaboration of this Agreement." The U.S. NAC produces Letters or Advice and Meeting Reports on a periodic basis to fulfill its mandate.
