The National and Governmental Advisory Committees (NAC - GAC)
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is inviting nominations from a diverse range of qualified candidates to be considered for appointment to fill vacancies on the National Advisory Committee (NAC) and the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) to the U.S. Representative to the Commission for Environmental Cooperation (CEC). Article 18 of the North American Agreement on Environmental Cooperation (the environmental side accord to the North American Free Trade Agreement) authorizes the U.S., Canada, and Mexico to each convene a governmental committee, which may comprise or include representatives of federal and state or provincial governments, to advise it on the implementation and further elaboration of this Agreement." The U.S. GAC produces Letters of Advice and Meeting Reports on a periodic basis to fulfill its mandate.
